Blackwood gets the worst bounce of the playoffs in ugly goal

The night got off to a rough start for Mackenzie Blackwood... then it got worse.

Well, that's maybe overstating things a bit, but it's clear that the Colorado Avalanche netminder isn't getting the benefit of lucky bounces tonight.

Just 9 seconds into Game 5 against the Dallas Stars tonight and Blackwood gave up a bit of a softie from Stars forward Wyatt Johnston.

And then with less than a minute left in the period Blackwood received an absolutely brutal break after his blocker save rebounded up 10 feet into the air then off his shoulder and into the back of the net.

Talk about getting a bad bounce!

To be fair though, these are the kind of bounces that tend to even out over the course of a series. It may not help Blackwood and the Avs in the moment, but there bounce is coming... they just gotta stick with it.
