Avalanche could target Charlie McAvoy for retribution!
Will there be fireworks tonight?

The Boston Bruins will be looking to rebound from a rare setback on Monday night at the hands of former head coach Bruce Cassidy and the visiting Vegas Golden Knights, who gave them their first home loss of the season in a 4-3 overtime shootout final. They kick off a Western road swing tonight that will not only see a rematch with Vegas later in the week, but also starting things up against the defending Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena.
Of course, the Bruins will be looking to make it two straight wins over the Avs after having already taken them down at TD Garden on December 3, a 5-1 dominating performance. However, there were some fireworks during the game that could certainly spill over into tonight, and you can bet that the Avalanche will be looking to make something happen.
They're still certainly upset over what they deemed to be a dirty play from Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who simply wrestled Avs forward Artturi Lehkonen to the ice after the latter kept trying to jam away a loose puck from goaltender Linus Ullmark.
According to Adrian Dater of Colorado Hockey Now, the Avalanche must respond to McAvoy:
"Avs need to respond to McAvoy on Wednesday night," he wrote on Twitter. "Whether it’s dirty like this or not, they need to respond. A top player was injured by this after-the-whistle play and they need to let him know it wasn’t forgotten."
You may remember that Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar was furious at McAvoy afterward:
