Auston Matthews misses practice after playing through illness

Toronto Maple Leafs superstar forward Auston Matthews missed practice today for as the team called it, a "maintenance day" and also revealed that he played Game 3 while battling an illness.
According to head coach Sheldon Keefe, things are "okay" with Matthews heading into Game 4 tomorrow night.
"Things are OK," Keefe said of Matthews. "He needed another day today just to try to help restore his energy and recharge and all those kind of things."
Matthews, who scored 69 goals during the regular season, has been held to a single goal so far in the series, which was the game-winning tally in Game 2 at TD Garden.
Tomorrow's Game 4 is a critical one for the Leafs, who can't afford to fall down three games to one to the Bruins with the series set to shift back to Boston afterward.
