Pictures emerged this summer of a new look for New York Rangers star forward Artemi Panarin, who explained he completely shaved his hair off “to reset a bad stage of his career and remove evil forces that may have been in his hair.”
Earlier this week, it was the opening of training camp in New York and Panarin’s teammates got to see his new do for the first time in person. And one teammate had quite the reaction.
Goalie Igor Shesterkin was asked about Panarin’s new look and revealed that he cried when he saw it, per Arthur Staple of The Athletic.
Shesterkin did not say however if he cried of laughter or shock, but you have to admit that either is understandable.
I don’t like the look and find that Panarin’s head is so smooth that I have to wonder if he isn’t auditioning to become the next Mr. Clean.
I also wonder how comfortable he will be under a helmet, especially for an extended period of time. Maybe that’s why Shesterkin was crying : feeling the pain for his teammate.
