Another blockbuster offseason trade between Flames and Panthers?!
Last year it was Matthew Tkachuk and we all know who won that trade!

On Tuesday, the Flames traded forward Tyler Toffoli to the New Jersey Devils and it feels like more trades will be coming to Calgary. Toffoli is one of the first big moves out of Calgary after some top players like Elias Lindholm, Mikael Backlund and Noah Hanifin admitted they wanted out.
According to insider Pierre LeBrun, the latter is getting a lot go interest from the Florida Panthers, and once you mention them and the Flames it’s hard not to think of last summer’s blockbuster trade that sent forward Matthew Tkachuk to Miami.
“The Panthers have interest in Noah Hanifin but have competition from several teams. Flames would be looking at Anthony Duclair as part of that trade scenario. But again, Flames have other options from other teams that could be better.”
Hanifin has also hinted how he would prefer a return to the United States.
However, the Panthers have already given Calgary quite the haul in the Tkachuk transaction, but they could have an edge by involving former Jonathan Huberdeau line-mate Anthony Duclair.
Not sure if the Flames will go for that in order to get Huberdeau back to elite status… could they look elsewhere in a deal with Hanifin?
Let’s see where that goes.
