The Montreal Canadiens defenceman Alexei Emelin is known as a tough one, playing on the edge and delivering some of the biggest hip checks since Darius Kasparaitis. Some might even be considered clipping, but who are we to judge.
This time, Emelin clearly crossed the line as he elbowed Dallas Stars' Antoine Roussel with the referee standing 10 feet from the play. There was no call on the play... How is it even possible?
Patrick Eaves decided he would penalize Emelin his own way.
