Alex Ovechkin has a hilarious reaction to meeting rapper Juicy J.

Alex Ovechkin, captain, all-time leading goal scorer and... rap god?

I'll be honest with you, I was expecting Washington Capitals star forward Alex Ovechkin to remix any rap hits from well over a decade ago, but here we are.

On Sunday, Ovechkin and the Capitals welcomed a pair of world famous rap artists to their venue at Capital One Arena, presumably due to the team's affinity for one of their songs. The two rappers were Juicy J and Project Pat and in a short video shared online by the Capitals themselves, Ovechkin can be seen remixing one of Juicy J's most famous hits.

The original song being referenced in the clip is "Bandz A Make Her Dance" by the aforementioned Juicy J and one of the lines in the song goes "Bands a make her dance, bands a make her dance these chicks clappin' and they ain't usin' hands" but Ovechkin changed the lyrics a little to incorporate the nickname of Capitals defenseman Jakob Chychrun.

"Bands a make her dance, bands a make her dance," began Ovechkin before changing the lyrics. "only Chychy clappin."

There would have been more but the sound in the video clip cuts abruptly there, perhaps because of the use of some questionable language given the content of the original song, or perhaps just due to an audio glitch of some kind.

Every single one of the Capitals, Chychrun included, appeared to be having a blast with Ovechkin's remix of the song and even Juicy J himself could be seen singing the words alongside the Capitals captain in the hallway. It all made for a rather surreal but hilarious moment, one you can see in the short clip below.
