A look at some of this year's NHL themed pumpkin carvings.
Some nice work from teams and fans alike.

It's that time of year.
The kids will be out roaming the streets for candy and the adults will hard at work on decorating and of course carving their pumpkins into either a more traditional Jack-O-Lantern or into their own creative designs for this year's Halloween festivities. I must admit I love this holiday as it brings out the best in terms of both creativity and humour from the hockey community and the fact that we get those in terms of both costumes and pumpkin carvings makes it twice as much fun.
The National Hockey League of course gets in on the fun every year as well and while earlier today we looked at some of our favorite costumes from the past, we're now going to be looking at some of the best carvings from this year's Halloween, although I've tossed in a few of my favorites from the past in here as well.
I'll begin with the one that you saw on the cover of this article, and incredible piece of art from a Leafs fan named Chris Gilfoy.
He also did two other Leafs, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews,
Some fans of the Calgary Flames had pretty good showings this year:
The Edmonton Oilers themselves shared a pair of nice looking carvings, however we're unsure who made these two.
An 8 year old determined to be the #1 fan of the Seattle Kraken showed off his team's logos with a pair of carvings of his own.
Including this one in the honorable mentions because it legitimately had me laughing out loud.
Another one from "Chris-O-Lantern" this time of the Golden Knights logo.
Here's an old school one of Flyers mascot Gritty.
A couple more from the Red Wings faithful.
And last but not least the Islanders made one of their own.
I gotta be honest I don't think anyone is going to even come close to beating the masterpiece put forth by Chris Gilfoy with his depiction of Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen and for those of you who are wondering if it is even real, Gilfoy has actually produced a short video to prove that it was indeed a real carving.
Have you seen any other amazing carvings that we missed? Please share them in the comments!
