A crowd fight nearly breaks out after American fans take exception to Canadian fans' sign
“Eh USA, 11th province? Think aboot it!” 😂
We are TIED 2-2 heading into overtime of the 4 Nations Face-Off Final between Canada and USA.
Fans inside Boston's TD Garden have been absolutely electric this evening, starting the evening with a rousing rendition of the 'Star Spangled Banner' and continuing to keep the energy level high with loud chants of, "USA! USA! USA!"
But fans in the upper levels may have taken things a bit too far...
Fans online have shared clips of an apparent American fan taking exception of a sign from a Canadian fan that reads:
“Eh USA, 11th province? Think aboot it!”
A harmless joke that pokes fun at Trump and his '51st State' rhetoric, right?
Well whatever the intent, the sign earned at least one Canadian fan a bit of a roughing up courtesy of some unwelcoming American fans.
Check it out:
C'mon, boys...
Take a seat. All of you. We're here to watch a hockey game, not to see you get boo boo faced over a sign. Either drop the mitts and settle things properly or take a seat like the rest of us.
