We have seen our fair share of questionable hits this season and it appears that some players haven't learned yet.
Another dangerous hit occurred in Sunday afternoon's game between the St. Louis Blues and Washington Capitals when Blues captain David Backes blatantly boarded the Caps' Karl Alzner.
Backes hits Alzner from behind while guiding his head into the glass. Alzner goes straight to the ground and the referees certainly don't miss the call. A scrum ensues and after they break it up, Backes is assessed a Boarding Major and a game misconduct.
The league may take a look at this hit.
