Tennis star Yulia Putintseva goes viral for disgusting interaction with ball girl

Kazakh tennis star Yulia Putintseva is going viral in the sports world today after a truly embarrassing display yesterday at the US Open.
With Putintseva playing poorly against opponent Jasmine Paolini, it was clear that she was frustrated. During a break in play Putintseva had to wait a few moments to receive a ball from the ball girl, which clearly frustrated her even more. When the ball girl fed Putintseva with a ball to resume play, Putintseva simply stood there and stared daggers at the young girl. The girl looks confused and, frankly, a bit scared at the entire situation.

Today, Putintseva is receiving an enormous amount of criticism online today, despite owning the situation and releasing an apology.
"I want to apologize to the ball girl for my behavior when she was giving me the balls. Honestly, it had nothing to do with her. I was so angry about not winning (...) that I didn't even focus on what was happening and who was giving me the ball... All the ball girls were awesome as always at the tournament," she wrote in an Instagram story.
