It's official - the Toronto Maple Leafs are in a funk right now, especially after their three game California road swing that saw them fail to win any of their games.
Sunday night's 4-3 overtime loss to the hapless Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center despite having initially enjoyed a 3-1 lead was only the latest setback for Toronto, who are once again left picking up the pieces and wondering what exactly went wrong. Of course, their mistakes are going to be heavily scrutinized, given the fact that they play in one of the biggest hockey markets not only in North America, but in the world.
Forward William Nylander, who has certainly endured plenty of scrutiny from the fan base over the years, revealed that he's had interactions with several fans in person while he was out and about running personal errands. And unlike the situation in Vancouver in which players were verbally harassed while trying to enjoy a day out with their family, Nylander's interactions were positive:
