Viral video shows why Marc-Andre Fleury is the most beloved NHLer around!
The video is perfect evidence that Flower is just the best guy out there. Watch below:
On Wednesday, the Minnesota Wild signed 9-year-old Cameron Furst to a one-day contract during his Make-A-Wish Day. Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made sure that the young boy was going to get the most out of his special day.
Fleury stayed on the ice with Cameron Furst post-morning skate to teach him some techniques. A video was posted online by the team, showing Flower in front of Cameron and telling him how out to move.
The video has gone viral and is just so heartwarming to watch:
“He was teaching me about pushing and sliding the thing, and getting up with your right leg,” Furst, who is in his first year of playing goalie but fourth year of hockey, told NHL.com
Fleury being Fleury, he also taught Cameron how to chirp other players when he was caught after practice saying:
“Did you tell them you stopped them?” quipped Fleury. “Na-na-na-nah you didn’t score.”
Fleury even went to say that next time he’ll teach Cameron his patented windmill save.
There is no doubt in mind that Fleury is the most beloved NHLer out there and it just feels sadder and sadder that this is his last season in the league as the 40-year-old netminder is expected to hang up the pads after this season.
Earlier this week, Fleury received a moving standing ovation in Vegas as the Golden Knights hosted the Wild. Easy to see how Fleury got a bit emotional on the bench.
Another proof that everyone loves Flower and gosh! so easy to see why!
