Vincent Desharnais and Dakota Joshua face off in a true heavyweight tilt!

The first game of the season for both the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks got underway, and two players did not waste any time dropping the gloves.

At the start of the first period, with the scoreboard all square, Vincent Desharnais and Dakota Joshua faced off in a spirited fight. This is one from the heavyweight class:

Both players were sent to the penalty box for fighting but shown what they're made of. Desharnais is huge and Joshua didn't back away. 

It was quite the way to kick off the game between the Oilers and Canucks!
