During their tenure as members of the Boston Bruins together, goaltenders Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark became a shining example of the power of friendship. It was a beacon that seemed to be embraced by the vast majority of Bruins fans as the goaltending tandem led the team to great success thanks to dependable goaltending from two different goalies, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end.

This past summer the Bruins parted ways with Ullmark when they shipped him off to the Ottawa Senators in a trade deal, breaking up the beloved goaltending tandem in Boston but apparently not the friendship that fueled it. On Saturday, Linus Ullmark did an excellent job of showcasing that the two men still have a very special bond with one another when members of his family showed up to Saturday's game between the Bruins and Senators with a special surprise for Jeremy Swayman.

The Ullmark family came prepared with a pair of signs that let Swayman know that his presence was missed in their household, no surprise given that Swayman had become so close to the Ullmark family that he even played the role of Santa Claus for them on Christmas.

Here's a look at the signs from Ullmark's young children:

It is great to see the Ullmark family showing so much love and support for Swayman, even at a time when he is pitted against Ullmark and his new team, the Ottawa Senators. Perhaps it does help a little that Ullmark is currently out due to an injury and will not be playing against Swayman today, a matchup that the two friends had no doubt been looking forward to all season long.
