Toothless Jagr reveals why he hasn't fixed his teeth.
NHL legend Jaromir Jagr reveals why he hasn't fixed his teeth after having them knocked out.
National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr lost a few of his teeth during a Czech Extraliga game that he was playing for his Kladno Knights to end the calendar year, and recently Jagr was asked why he hadn't fixed the damage despite a few weeks going by.
For those of you who missed the news at the end of 2024, Jagr had 4 of his teeth knocked out during the game but managed to return to the game, played 15 minutes of ice time, and better yet managed to pick up an assist despite the hardships.
Most assumed that Jagr, a man who made millions over a lengthy career playing in the NHL, would quickly repair the damage that had been done to his mouth but despite having the means to do so Jagr has avoided the dentist's chair. Recently Jagr revealed the reason his teeth haven't been fixed during an interview and the reason is both hilarious as well as a little ridiculous.
According to the man himself, his teeth weren't repaired due to his superstitious nature. You seem his team managed a comeback win the game in which he lost his teeth and hadn't lost since, and Jagr was concerned that repairing his damaged teeth could ruin that streak of good luck.
"We were winning so, it happened two weeks ago, we were on a winning streak so I'm kind of superstitious," said Jagr.
Unfortunately Jagr and the Knights have since suffered a loss so it sounds like it might be time for a visit to the dentist.
"Last night we lost so I might do it tomorrow," said Jagr.
You can hear Jagr's hilarious comments, including a very funny anecdote about the one positive of being disfigured he has found, in the short clip below.
