Teammates DeSmith and Blueger get into fight at morning skate
Yikes... things got ugly at Pens practice this morning
HockeyFeed
According to a report from Pittsburgh Penguins insider Taylor Haase, a couple of Penguins teammates got into a bit of a spat at morning practice earlier today.
Haase reports that Penguins forward Teddy Blueger took exception to something that goaltender Casey DeSmith uttered to him following a play in practice. Haase reports that DeSmith chirped Blueger after making a save and that it rubbed Blueger the wrong way. The two shoved each other a bit and had to be separated by teammates. DeSmith ended up yelling at Blueger as he skated off.
From Haase:
I'd loooooooooove to know what DeSmith said that set Blueger off. You may recall that Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry got under Brad Marchand's skin last season when he commented, "How about that f***ing save?" after making a game save in a Penguins vs Bruins game last season. Did DeSmith say something similar? If so, I love this man. A chirping goalie is a goalie after my own heart.
