Taylor Hall pulled from Hawks’ lineup as three-team trade is in the works!

The Chicago Blackhawks won’t be able to clinch a playoff spot this year again, and rival teams have been calling about forward Taylor Hall. Trade rumours have gone louder and reached a new level on Friday night when Hall was pulled from the Hawks’ lineup minutes ahead of their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Teammate and defenseman Seth Jones, who has also been at the center of trade rumours, is also out for tonight’s game, though it has been made clear that he is out with an illness.
When it comes to Hall however, no reason has yet to be given and many believe he could be traded shortly.
Pierre LeBrun just reported that a deal is being worked on but sounds like a three-team deal involving Hall is taking place.
“Believe Carolina is involved. Stay tuned.”
Elliotte Friedman added that the Hurricanes are reportedly the ones acquiring Hall, but all the details will be provided once it has been made official.
Last week, when asked about the ongoing trade rumours, Hall mentioned how he would be open to signing an extension in Chicago but has “a feeling that’s not really in the cards.”
“I came into this year wanting to be a Blackhawk for years to come. I don’t know if that’s going to be the case anymore.”
The only thing that could keep teams away from Hall closer to the trade deadline is his $6 million cap hit, which is not going to be easy for most buyers to take on. Chicago could retain some salary and Hall might end up moving anyways…
It has also been reported that the cost to acquire Hall wouldn’t be that high. Blackhawks insider Scott Powers of the Athletic recently revealed that a second-round pick or even a third could make a deal happen with Chicago.
That is an extremely cheap price for a former first overall pick, and a Hart trophy winner.
And one who is a scratch tonight.
