Tanner Jeannot’s suspension fate confirmed by the NHL after hit on Brock Boeser

After his massive hit on Boeser, Jeannot’s fate is decided by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

Oft-injured Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser will unfortunately be dealing with other significant ailment in his young career after he was run over by Los Angeles Kings’ Tanner Jeannot on Thursday night. On the other hand, Jeannot is dealing with a suspension.

Jeannot is suspended three games for his illegal check to the head of Boeser. It was first reported by Elliotte Friedman. It was confirmed minutes later by the Department of Player Safety with the video explanation. 

The incident took place last night when Boeser was absolutely blown up by Jeannot with a clear cut open ice headshot that earned the Kings’ forward a 5 minute major and a game misconduct penalty.

Boeser left the ice with the help of trainers and did not return to the contest. One Jeannot was ejected from the game, his hit was set to be reviewed by the NHL's Department of Player Safety. When players receive a match penalty, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety automatically reviews the incident.
