This just in, the Tampa Bay Lightning have pulled captain Steven Stamkos from the lineup for today's game against the New Jersey Devils just moments before game time.
It's not clear what sort of injury Stamkos is suffering from and how much time he'll miss. It's worth noting however that Stamkos did leave his team's game against the Chicago Blackhawks this past weekend and did not return to action. It's believed that he suffered a leg injury after Blackhawks forward Joey Anderson accidentally fell on him. Stamkos got up on his own following that play, but did not return to action.
Stay tuned for an update on this developing story.
