Seven players placed on waivers today for contract buyouts
Plenty of movement around the NHL with the opening of free agency tomorrow.
HockeyFeed
This just in, Chicago Blackhawks forwards Henrik Borgstrom and Brett Connolly have both cleared waivers and will have their contracts bought out today ahead of the league's 5pm ET contract buyout deadline.
Additionally, five other players around the league have been placed on waivers for the purposes of contract buyout.
Rudolfs Balcers and Oskar Lindblom are two intriguing free agent candidates given their relatively young age and their relatively decent production. More to come, including some players who were expected to be bought out but have not been placed on waivers. This means we could have some trades coming down the pipe. Stay tuned.
