Senators deliver bad news on Cam Talbot's status
Not what they needed during their stretch run.

Well, this is the last thing that the Ottawa Senators needed right now, especially as they're making a drive towards their first postseason spot since their improbable run to within one goal of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final.
Goaltender Cam Talbot, who has already missed 18 games this season due to injury, is going to be on the shelf for at least the next several weeks with what the team is describing as a mid-body injury.
Talbot, who is in his first season with Ottawa after being acquired in an offseason deal with the Minnesota Wild, has appeared in 32 games (starting 29) while posting a record of 15-14-1 with a 2.85 goals against average and .905 save percentage.
He was thought to be a prime candidate to be dealt again at the NHL Trade Deadline, especially after he reportedly turned down an extension. But for now, he remains in the Canadian capital city.
