Scheme in motion to get owner Terry Pegula out of Sabres’ organization!
Chaos in Buffalo and something needs to happen!
Devoted Buffalo Sabres fan Ben Mathewson has had enough of owner Terry Pegula’s antics and has demanded that he be fired and for the organization to get back on track with new ownership. The Sabres are falling off the tracks with their eight-game winless streak, which prompted Mathewson and other fans to get a scheme in motion for Pegula to leave the franchise.
As Mathewson points out, when owners in Ottawa or in Arizona were making terrible calls, they were called out and a change was made. He believes the Sabres have been waiting long enough for better ownership, someone who cares about the team and hockey.
“I desperately need national hockey media people to specifically focus on Terry Pegula the way they did Eugene Melnyk and Arizona ownership. He is the problem. He is the common denominator. He is the reason the organization is failing.”
Others fans have pointed out how former captain Jack Eichel was treated terribly by Pegula, which led to him getting traded out of Buffalo to the Vegas Golden Knights in order to, let me remind you, get a life-changing neck surgery!
One points out what the Sabres’ lineup would actually look like if Pegula had made better changes, either trade wise of draft wise, and hadn’t ruin the experience for all of these players:
Just a few days ago, Pegula was called out by team reporter Mike Harrington, who told it like it is: the decisions of Terry Pegula, not GM Kevyn Adams, are the Sabres’ biggest problems.”
Adams is in his fifth year as Sabres GM and honestly, he might has well make another monster trade, whoever comes to Buffalo might realize how terrible of an owner Pegula is and eventually want out.
Something needs to be done and I agree with Mathewson and fans: get Pegula away from the Sabres.
