Red Wings shake up lineup ahead of tonight's game.
Derek Lalonde is making changes to both his forward group as well as on the blue line.
Detroit Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde has been put in a less than enviable position with often injured forward Robby Fabbri once again out with an injury, and as a result he has been forced to adjust on the fly.
Lalonde is once again doing so on Monday with it appearing as though Fabbri will miss yet another game due to injury, making changes to both his forward group as well as on the blue line. As far as the forwards are concerned, it looks as though Austin Czarnik will enter the lineup after being called up as he was featured on the Red Wings' fourth line during the team's morning skate on Monday.
Here is how the 4 forward lines looked during practice:
DeBrincat-Larkin-Raymond
Rasmussen-Copp-Compher
Sprong-Veleno-Perron
Kostin-Czarnik-Fischer
Lalonde will also be making changes to the blue line with a decision to make veteran defenseman Jeff Petry a healthy scratch this evening after a less than stellar start to the season from Petry. Presumably this means that Olli Maatta, who has previously been scratched, will be back in the lineup tonight.
The Red Wings will also be starting goaltender James Reimer tonight.
