The Detroit Red Wings are coming off arguably their most complete game of the season on Saturday night, a 2-1 victory at Little Caesars Arena over the visiting Minnesota Wild. Despite giving up an early tally to sniper Kirill Kaprizov, the Red Wings didn't relent their pressure on the Wild defense and were rewarded.

Forward Lucas Raymond broke out of his scoring slump, netting both of Detroit's goals and enjoying arguably his best outing of the young season. We'll certainly keep our fingers crossed that his confidence will remain high moving forward.

Tonight, the Red Wings are in Western New York for a Halloween night matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, who are tied with Detroit in the Atlantic Division standing with 10 points apiece. Like the Red Wings, the Sabres have been undergoing a rebuild and appear on the verge of turning the corner.

And despite having gotten another solid performance out of starter Ville Husso on Saturday, Detroit will be going back to Alex Nedeljkovic tonight in Buffalo. He'll have the chance to get back into the win column for the first time since the second game of the season in which he made 37 saves in a 5-2 triumph over the New Jersey Devils. Unfortunately for the man affectionately known as "Ned" to his teammates and Red Wings fans, his next two starts didn't go as well, dropping decisions to the Chicago Blackhawks and Devils.

Meanwhile, it will be gritty forward Adam Erne once again on Detroit's top line tonight; he's enjoyed a strong start to the year, having tallied two goals while also making his opponents uncomfortable by throwing his weight around.

Take a look at tonight's anticipated line combinations:
