The Edmonton Oilers have stormed all the way back in the Stanley Cup Final to tie the series at 3 games a piece, shocking the Florida Panthers and putting them on the verge of being reverse swept on the biggest stage in hockey, but it wasn't without a little controversy.

The Panthers were clearly not happy when a coach's challenge from Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch in Game 6 resulted in a Panthers goal being taken off the board, with Panthers head coach Paul Maurice making no effort to hide how he felt about the call on the ice.

As you would expect the question came up during Maurice's post game media availability following the conclusion of Game 6, and Maurice was asked if his feelings on the situation had changed. Maurice would admit that he didn't have all the information at his disposal needed to make a proclamation one way or the other.

"I have no idea," said Maurice when asked if the officials made the right call. "The linesperson informed me it was the last clip that they got where they made the decision that it shows it is offside, I don't have those."

Maurice did admit however that he wasn't happy with the call on the ice, feeling that the replays his team had received to review did not do enough to show conclusively that the Panthers had been offside on the play.

"I was upset after the call based on what I see at my feet," admitted Maurice. "There was no way I would have challenged that if it was reversed, there was no way I thought you could conclusively say that was offside. I don't know what the Oilers get, I don't know what the league gets...  but in the 30 seconds that I would have made that call I would not have challenged."

Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch would risk the challenge however and it paid off for the Oilers in the end.

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final will be Monday.
