Paul “Biznasty” Bissonnette puts the Capitals and their fans on blast.

Biz doesn't hold back.

The National Hockey League's Eastern Conference has been a scary place to play this season with fierce competition between several teams that have had strong seasons leading up to this year's Stanley Cup playoffs. As a result it's been difficult to predict which team will emerge as the Eastern Conference's representative in the Stanley Cup Final.

On Sunday the National Hockey League on TNT panel discussed this very topic with the conversation stemming from the fact that one of those teams, the Toronto Maple Leafs, suffered a loss on Saturday night to the Montreal Canadiens. In spite of the fact that the Leafs lost to the only team currently mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, at least one member of the panel noted that they should still be considered a threat in the playoffs.

That panelist was none other than Paul "Biznasty" Bissonnette but that wasn't an opinion he shared about all 8 teams currently sitting in a playoff position in the East. Bissonnette seemingly went out of his way to point out that he only felt 7 of the 8 teams were a threat and when he was asked about which team wasn't included on that list he promptly roasted both the Washington Capitals and their fans.

"Listen, Washington fans have been losing it on me online," said Bissonnette. "Go bet your mortgages on the fact that they will even get out of the first round, send it to me in a tweet, and then we will have a conversation, Washington is not a threat, sorry."

You could tell by the tone of his comments that Bissonnette was charged up about this topic and I suspect that it comes as a genuine result of the fact that Capitals fans have indeed been hounding him on social media. In fact following the broadcast Bissonnette was promptly called out by one such fan.

He quickly responded to the taunt by once again expressing his lack of faith in the current Capitals roster.

"Bring it on. 1 pump chumps this year," wrote Bissonnette in response.
