Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, former NHL player turned analyst and well-known Toronto Maple Leafs fanboy Paul Bissonnette is absolutely geeking right now over his favorite team's additions during the summer that have only served to increase expectations for renewed success in the postseason.
And the first game of the season against the rival Montreal Canadiens was a wild one, but the fact that Toronto allowed five goals against didn't exactly sit well with most fans despite ultimately earning the two points.
We all know that fan bases can be extremely bipolar, and the roller coaster of emotions that the Leafs have taken their fans on the last several years would be enough to drive anyone crazy.
For Bissonnette, he was at it again with an absolutely nutty prediction with how the season will be doing for the Leafs over the next few weeks.
"You know what's going to happen - they're going to be .500 after 12 games and the f***ing city is going to be losing their minds. Every year, it happens. Every year, at the start of the year - don't take the bait online... They might win their first few games and they'll drop 3 or 4 in a row. They're going to be .500 after 12 and the f***ing city is going to be ready to burn down. I'm telling you, it's happening."
We'll have to see how things play out!
