Pat Maroon threatens HC player to parking lot fight after Game 1!
It all broke loose at the end of Utah Hockey Club’s inaugural game...
This was the Chicago Blackhawks’ first game of the 2024-25 season and already veteran forward Pat Maroon got tossed from it. With less than a minute to go in the third period of the inaugural game of the Hockey Club in Utah, Maroon was given a misconduct for flipping at the opposing bench after their empty net goal. This was Dylan Guenther’s second tally of the night.
I guess something was done or said to Maroon, who didn’t like kicking off the season on the losing end and started screaming at players on the Utah bench. At one point, the Blackhawks’ goon is caught pointing out to the hallway and basically threatening a HC player, some believe it was Spicy Tuna Liam O’Brien, to a fight after the game in the parking lot.
After falling 3-0 midway through the contest, the Hawks attempted a comeback led by Connor Bédard, but fell short. Utah won its first game in franchise history 5-2 and made sure to shut Maroon up in the process.
I mean I love the passion and energy that a guy like Maroon can bring, but dude, this is Game 1. Slow down. Maroon played 13 minutes and 27 seconds, and ended the night with a -1 rating and three giveaways.
