The Toronto Maple Leafs have been without defenseman Mark Giordano since he suffered a concussion last Thursday night against the Arizona Coyotes at Scotiabank Arenaand was placed on Injured Reserve.
However, the optimistic news is that he's joined his team for practice not even a week after suffering the injury.
However, he's not close to being able to compete in game action.
He's appeared in 38 games this year for the Leafs in what is expected to be his final NHL season, scoring one goal while adding seven assists. He's in the final season of a two-year, $1.6 million deal that he agreed to in 2022 after being acquired from the expansion Seattle Kraken.
