Gotta make room for the veteran forward.
HockeyFeed
All eyes in the National Hockey League have already been noticing the scorching hot run of the Edmonton Oilers, who have now won a franchise-record 13 straight games and have also now set the record for most consecutive wins by a Canadian NHL team.
And they've decided to make an interesting move, bringing aboard veteran forward Corey Perry on a free-agent deal.
In order to make room for Perry, the Oilers placed another veteran forward in the form of Adam Erne on waivers. He's not the only player to hit waivers today, as the Montreal Canadiens have also placed forward Mitchell Stephens on the waiver wire:
Erne has scored a goal and an assist in 23 games played.
