Oilers fan humiliates himself when fight breaks out in the crowd.
Not a good look.
Earlier this month the Edmonton Oilers welcomed Canadian rivals the Vancouver Canucks to Rogers Place in Edmonton, and unfortunately during the game there was a bit of an altercation between a group of fans.
The altercation wasn't between fans of the opposing teams however but rather a group of Oilers fans who appeared to be having an argument over something unrelated to the game itself.
In a video that has since been posted to social media we can see one man standing up from his seat and facing away from the rink as he confronts a group that he has clearly taken issue with. The man gets physically aggressive with the group, slapping food out of their hands and eventually removing one man's hat and throwing it down to the lower sections.
This was enough provocation and this is the point at which things escalated into an actual fight between a pair of Oilers fans, with the same man playing the role of aggressor. He quickly yanked on the jersey of the man he was targeting causing him to stumble over a row of seats before pummeling with several punches as the man was down.
The most shocking part of the video however came when one of the other men from the group appeared to mount a defense of his friend, by gently patting the man pummeling him on the head. So bad was the form on his punches that even Spittin Chiclets called him out for his "muffin" hands on Saturday, which you can see in the post just below.
