Detroit loses another top player.

The bad news just keeps on coming for the Detroit Red Wings, who are going to have to play even more shorthanded for at least the next two games. Forward Michael Rasmussen has officially been suspended for the next two games for his high sticking incident last night at TD Garden against the Boston Bruins.
While following through on his check of Bruins forward David Krejci, Rasmussen caught his opponent in the face with his stick, resulting in an injury that forced him from the game.
Meanwhile, Joe Veleno taking a blatant flying elbow to the head less than five feet in front of the referee was deemed perfectly legal.
Do better, NHL. That's absolutely insane.
