Mark Scheifele shows he’s learned from NHL suspension!
He changed up his tactics as we saw last night:

During the postseason, Winnipeg Jets’ Mark Scheifele said he was shut him down by NHL’s Department of Player Safety when he was suspended four games for running over Montreal forward Jake Evans in the Canadiens’ series-opening 5-3 victory. Evans suffered a concussion and left the ice on a stretcher after being hit by Scheifele following an empty-net goal with under a minute to play.
While Scheifele might have complained more than once about the suspension, it sure looks like the top forward learned from it. He proved it on Monday night as Pittsburgh Penguins’ Jake Guentzel headed to the empty net for the assurance goal.
Guentzel pulled a similar move to Evans’, wrapping the net to put the puck at the back of it for the 3-1 win, as Scheifele was coming in full speed towards his net.
However, he stopped to make sure he would not hit Guentzel and ended up crashing into the pole. Geez, he could have injured himself and not his rival!
The NHL suspension works!
