Beloved NHL goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury talks about possibly playing one more year.

Beloved National Hockey League goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has made it clear that this will be his final season in the NHL, but with Fleury having such a solid year some have begun to wonder if Fleury might not consider sticking around a little longer.

Fleury has appeared in 14 games for the Wild this season and has recorded a 2.54 goals against average and a .910 save percentage, and for some context Fleury hasn't finished a season with numbers that good since the 2021-22 NHL regular season.

So naturally Fleury was asked about his future in the NHL and if it might extend beyond this season and, although he was happy to talk about it, Fleury unfortunately made it clear to those asking the questions and to his fans that this would indeed be the end of the road for him.

"No chance," said Fleury with a laugh when asked about possibly playing another season. "I can’t be doing this every year, 'Oh, one more, one more.'"

Fleury's response doesn't seem to be the one that fans wanted to hear with most seemingly indicating that they would prefer if Fleury postponed his retirement for one more year.

Would you like to see Fleury continue his career for one more year? Would him finishing out the season in strong form change your opinion? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
