Minnesota Wild veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury recently moved past his boyhood idol Patrick Roy for 2nd place on the NHL's all-time win list for goaltenders, and soon followed that up with a dramatic victory in his 1,000th career NHL game. But could the future Hall of Famer soon be on the move as the NHL Trade Deadline approaches?

Right now, the playoffs are anything but a sure thing for the Wild, who started the year in a massive slump that resulted in the firing of head coach Dean Evason. And despite improvements on the ice, the team remains hot and cold, and the potential of GM Bill Guerin selling off assets at the Trade Deadline remains a distinct possibility.

Fleury finds himself in a pivotal position as he plays out the final year of his contract, leading to speculation within NHL circles that this could mark his last season. As the trade deadline approaches, it's expected that his name will once again surface in trade rumors, as it has in previous years.

In the past, Fleury has been linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs, particularly when they were under the management of Kyle Dubas. Interestingly, Dubas now oversees operations for Fleury's former team, the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Could Fleury draw interest from current Leafs general manager Brad Treliving, especially given the uncertain situation regarding Toronto's current goaltending? Don't be surprised, according to NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun, who also named the Colorado Avalanche and Carolina Hurricanes as potential destinations for Fleury to land in addition to Toronto.

As it currently stands, Fleury has racked up a record of 10-9-3 with a 2.83 goals against average, .902 save percentage and a single shutout, all at the age of 39.

Just how strange would it be to see Fleury wear the colors of the Maple Leafs?
