The Toronto Maple Leafs have put an end to a viral marketing campaign that has taken over the city of Toronto the past week.
Fans noticed that the letter 'O' was conspicuously missing from all Leafs branding/marketing material online and around the team's home rink at Scotiabank Arena.
So... what gives?
Well today the Leafs announced that snack brand Oreo will be the team's helmet sponsor for 2024-25.
I mean...
If ever there was a perfect sponsor to pair with the Milk logo on their jersey. Oreos and milk, what's better than that?
Now, I don't know what it says about the team that its sponsors are literally just milk and cookies, but here we are...
Honestly, it's better than the swath of sports gambling ads that we see all across the NHL.
