Brad Treliving is now the new general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, having been named to the position following the termination of Kyle Dubas as well as his own departure from the Calgary Flames.
And right now, his Maple Leafs happen to be nearly $10 million dollars in the hole in terms of the salary cap. Needless to say, they're going to have to shed some salary eventually in order to become cap compliant.
And as it happens, a private plane from Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment was seen in Calgary yesterday, leading to speculation that Treliving could be looking to do some business with his old club:
