The Detroit Red Wings welcomed in the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night in their home opener to what was truly an electric (no pun intended) atmosphere at Little Caesars Arena, which got off to a rocking start thanks to the introduction of the brand new, much louder goal horn that replaced the recording that had been in use since 2017.

Not only did the Red Wings defeat the Lightning in a thrilling back and forth affair by a 6-4 final score, but they also established a physical presence right off the bat. Forward Lucas Raymond, who put on a few pounds of new muscle during the summer and also buried his first goal of the year, announced his physical presence in a big way during the first period.

Shortly after new Red Wings forward Christian Fischer flattened Lightning defenseman Calvin de Haan, Raymond sent Michael Eyssimont flying head over heels into the Red Wings bench:

Man, put a still photo of that hit into the Smithsonian! Was that not one of the coolest things you've seen in quite a while from a Red Wings player or what?
