The Toronto Maple Leafs paid tribute to a long-time member of their organization on Tuesday night, honoring veteran voice of the Maple Leafs Joe Bowen.
Bowen has been calling the Maple Leafs broadcast since 1982, a truly staggering length of time for anyone at any single job, and Tuesday night's match up against the Detroit Red Wings marked the 3000th game of his broadcasting career.
The fans in attendance gave Bowen a standing ovation as he saluted the camera and even the players on the bench tapped their sticks on the boards to salute the Bowen during the tribute.
