Kevin Bieksa calls Zdeno Chara a liar!

Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek could not believe what former NHL Defenseman Zdeno Chara said about the 2011 Vancouver Canucks players. He had to go to one of the sources, his colleague and former NHLer Kevin Bieksa.

Earlier on Thursday, Chara made some stunning allegations, claiming that the Canucks players began practising how they would celebrate winning the Stanley Cup, after winning the first two games in Vancouver.

“After losing two games in Vancouver, we saw players from Vancouver coming on the ice in the Garden, and they were actually practising how they would be lifting the Cup and handing off the Cup to each other,” Chara said. “And we found out about these things and we were like ‘fuck this, we are not going to allow this to happen.’ It just fuelled us.”

Marek texted Bieksa and this is what the former Canucks blue liner answered him about the allegations: ‘never happened…..100% didn’t happen”.

Chara went on to share some more about the rivalry between the two teams and what the 2011 Canucks did to fuel the Bruins at the time.

However, Bieksa is adamant that Chara is lying and we bet we haven’t heard the last of this!
