Fans in Australia got a special treat on Friday night when the National Hockey League traveled to the land down under for the very first time for a clash between the Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes.

Although the contest was only a preseason game that will officially go down as an exhibition contest, you wouldn't have known it from the lively atmosphere the over 13,000 fans brought to the arena on the night. There was plenty of action on the ice for the crowd to celebrate, but perhaps the moment that created the biggest roar from the crowd was the collision at center ice between the Kings' Jacob Doty and the Coyotes' Josh Brown.

Both men came into this fight with ill intent as they were throwing heavy shots at one another, shots heavy enough to cause both men to lose their helmets during the course of their battle. The officials on the ice also gave them plenty of time to sort out their differences with the fight lasting over a minute before it became clear that both men were exhausted from the physical confrontation.

Both men had just exited the penalty box prior to the fight but they were quickly sent back after this one.
