John Tavares makes big change to training for 2024-25 season
Tavares is switching things up in his offseason training!
It's going to be a monumental decision for Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving in the near future with regard to the status of captain John Tavares with the franchise he's suited up for since being lured away from the New York Islanders with a seven-year pact in the summer of 2018.
Just one season into his tenure in Toronto, he was given the captaincy and was eventually able to lead the Leafs to their first playoff series victory since 2004 last year when he fittingly scored the overtime goal to sink the Tampa Bay Lightning. The bad news? That's been the only time they've advanced past Round 1, and it didn't last much longer as they were immediately felled in five games by the Florida Panthers.
Entering the final year of his contract, Tavares could soon be at a crossroads in his career if the Leafs decide he isn't in their long term plans. But in the meantime, he's continuing his preparations for the upcoming campaign by switching things up a bit by participating in red light therapy by Kala, an innovative process described as being "scientifically proven to improve health and wellness on a cellular level. Improve skin-health, recover faster and feel your best!"
