Jakob Chychrun hints that he is done in Arizona.

The Coyotes defenseman may have had enough.

The Arizona Coyotes were mired in rumors surrounding defenseman Jakob Chychrun this season leading up to the National Hockey League's trade deadline, but when that deadline had come and gone Chychrun remained a member of the Coyotes. In spite of the fact that the Coyotes and Chychrun may have avoided a trade at the deadline, it is beginning to sound like a day where Chychrun is no longer wearing a Coyotes jersey is inevitable.

On Saturday, the 24 year old blue liner spoke to the media about his future about the media and his comments certainly appeared to indicate that he would prefer a future that didn't involve the Coyotes. Chychrun began by hinting at things taking care of themselves over the summer.

"A lot of it is out of my control," said Chychrun as per Coyotes insider Craig Morgan. "There's stuff that goes on that is going to work itself out this summer. My mentality, my preparation isn't going to change. I want to win more than anybody. Everybody says that but I truly believe it."

"I've been here my whole career and absolutely love it here and it seems like every time we get to a point where it looks like we're gonna be getting there it just gets torn down again... That was kind of tough on me a bit this year, just naturally as a human being and competitive person. I want to win so bad. That's the only part that can be tough on me at times."

The most telling comments from Chychrun though came in response to a direct question regarding the possibility of a trade. When asked if he would be alright with the idea of not being trade this summer, he said the following:

"I don't know. I'm signed for 3 more years," began Chychrun. "The trajectory of where the team is going and a lot of that stuff is important to me. I want to be in a position where I'm getting to play a week from now, not packing up."

There may not have been a deal at the deadline, but it sounds like one is likely to come this summer.
