Jacob Markstrom pulled on Saturday as trade rumors swirl.
Jacob Markstrom was pulled from the net in the midst of significant trade rumors around the Flames goaltender.
This certainly won't do anything to squash the trade rumors that have surrounded Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom in recent weeks.
On Saturday night, Markstrom left the ice in a fury, smashing his stick on the way out, after he was pulled from the game after allowing 4 goals on just 12 shots from the Detroit Red Wings. A visibly frustrated Markstrom made his way off the ice, although many will be quick to point the finger at the team that was playing in front of him this evening.
Many including Flames insider Eric Francis:
Markstrom's body language in net following the 4th goal was not good.
This likely won't have any direct impact on any trade negotiations, but there's no question that the pressure is mounting on the Flames.
