No one was sitting in the wheelchair as the woman using had gotten out and the wheelchair was at the top of the stairs because its owner needed to be carried downstairs to the bathroom.
A video caught the disgusting gesture : Briere is in the white hat on the footage. After mocking the chair, he and a friend push it down the set of stairs.
Carson Briere currently plays for Mercyhurst University men’s hockey team and the school released a statement, calling the video disturbing . They also have student conduct and the police and safety investigating.
Carson Briere came to Mercyhurst in 2021 from Arizona State because he was in trouble there. He and a teammate were kicked off the team for violating club rules for partying too much.
Before the incident, Carson Briere had collected five goals and 13 points in 30 games with Mercyhurst University.
Let’s see if he gets to play any more once the team and school decide on his punishment.
