Henrik Zetterberg snubbed by Hockey Hall of Fame

Former Detroit Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg will have to wait another season to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The inductees were announced this afternoon, and they included former Red Wings 1997 Conn Smythe Trophy winning goaltender Mike Vernon along with Zetterberg's fellow Swede Henrik Lundqvist. Additionally, Pierre Turgeon, Tom Barrasso, Pierre Lacroix, and Ken Hitchcock were all named as having gotten in.
Zetterberg appeared in 1,082 career NHL games with the Red Wings, scoring 337 goals and 623 assists. He also added another 57 goals and 63 assists in 137 career postseason games.
He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2008, and later succeeded Nicklas Lidstrom as captain of the team prior to the 2012-13 NHL Season.
