The guy did it again. Forward Mikael Robidoux has a well-documented history of fines and suspensions in the QMJHL, and things aren’t different now that he is a member of the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club in the ECHL.

Late on Thursday, the ECHL announced that Robidoux has been suspended for 14 games as the result of his actions after leaving the ice surface at 19:29 of the second period in a game at Wichita last Saturday.

He’ll be eligible to return to play on Dec. 4.

This suspension comes after Robidoux attacked members of the audience during the game against the Thunder over the weekend.

When the fiery forward got off the ice and make his way to the tunnel, he caught wind of a fan saying something to him. That’s when Robidoux swung his stick at the fan, who grabbed it back, and tugged back at it.

It’s all here:

Robidoux was suspended indefinitely until the hearing came to a close and the verdict came in later on Thursday.

The 23-year-old had left the QMJHL for the ECHL back in January 2020, when he had just received his ninth suspension in the junior league. He has also missed more games due to suspensions (36) than he had scored goals (27) in 203 games in the QMJHL.

Robidoux played for the Maine Mariners (2019-2020) and the Kansas City Mavericks (2021-2022) before joining the Americans for this seasons In 55 ECHL games, Robidoux has recorded just six assists, but 357 penalty minutes.
