Former Leafs and Penguins player leaves the NHL
At just 30 years old! I thought this guy was gonna be a stud!

This just in, former Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick Scott Harrington has signed a deal with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League.
Check it out:
The 30 year old defenseman played just 45 games last season split between the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks. He previously had played parts of five seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets where he spent the majority of his NHL career. He played just 10 games with the Penguins and 15 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs back in 2014-15 and 2015-16, respectively.
Personally, I felt like Harrington was going to be a defensive stud in the vein of Chris Tanev or Brett Pesce when he was coming up with the London Knights. He was a stalwart on team Canada's World Junior squads in 2012 and 2013, but unfortunately his skill in junior never really translated over to the pro game. With him now heading overseas to continue his career, it looks like his days as a shutdown NHL defenseman are officially over.
