Detroit Red Wings defenseman Filip Hronek is absolutely on a tear right now, racking up the points as the Red Wings continue to make people in the Motor City as well as around the rest of the National Hockey League start to believe that they have a chance to make some serious noise this season.

And thanks to his assist during last night's 4-2 victory over their division rival Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena, he joined former Red Wings defenseman and Hockey Hall of Famer Paul Coffey as the only defensemen in NHL history to record a point in their first 11 road games. He's the first Red Wings defenseman ever to accomplish the feat, and he's now passed the legendary Sergei Fedorov in team history, who eclipsed the mark during his Hart Trophy winning season of 1993-94.

He's a big part of why the Red Wings are currently tied with the Lightning in the Atlantic Division!
